With a strong computer science background and many years of experience in the software industry I'm able to play different roles in a team and to use different languages and technologies to solve the customer problem.

What follows is a short list of the topics and technologies I'm mostly specialised.

Internationalisation and Localisation

I speak four languages, I was born and grown up in a bilingual region. Through my professional career I've built many multilingual web sites and faced the problem of localising the information to communities with specific linguistic and cultural needs.

I developed the product Localizer to build multilingual web sites. I published an article about it in the second number of Localisation focus, an international journal from the Localisation Research Centre of the University of Limerick (Ireland). I also presented Localizer in the fifth Hispalinux Congress edition.

eLearning

I worked for three years in the University Jaume I of Castellón (Spain) building an information system for students and teachers, the LLEU project. Later I developed another web application for the universities of Grenoble (France), which includes support for standards like the Learning Objects Metadata, the ARPEM project.

I've been actively involved in the different Zope and education efforts, like the most recent EduZope group.

Python

I've been developing with Python for five years now, since the 1.4 version. I participated in the first EuroPython conference held in Charleroi (Belgium) where I gave a talk. Recently I started to contribute to the Python core.

Zope

After three years working full time with Zope, I'm one of the guys in Europe with more Zope expertise. I've contributed to the community mainly as a developer, the Calendar DTML tag (featured in a book and in a BYTE article) and Localizer are the best known products I've done.

I've been participated in several Zope events, like the first European Zope Conference & BBQ where I gave a talk. In January 2002 I was invited by Zope Corp. to help them in the effort to internationalise Zope, I participated in a sprint with Jim Fulton, Guido Van Rossum and others. There too I signed the contributors agreement to become a Zope core developer.
